Sixty Artabas of Wheat Are Ordered for Payment
On October 31, AD 179, Lampon, manager of the household of the gymnasiarchs, instructed granary officials to pay sixty artabas of wheat to Sarapion son of Heliodorus. The Greek order makes a large grain payment visible at the point where an administrator turned it into a written instruction.

A Five-Year Lease Sets Rent in Solidi and Carats
On October 31, AD 555, Aurelius Petrus leased one and a quarter arouras of uninundated land to Aurelius Colluthus for five years. The annual rent was stated in solidi and carats. The Greek agreement preserves both the term and the monetary precision of a long agricultural lease.
