    A Father Leases a One-Third Share of Land to His Son

    On October 8, AD 538, Silvanus son of Phoebammon leased from his son Petrus a one-third share of plots in three locations around the village of Enseu. The arrangement could continue for as long as the lessee wished. Witnesses and a notary authenticated the Greek contract.
