A Sycamore Tree Is Sold at Pathyris
On November 5, 136 BC, Zmenous bought a sycamore tree from Patous and his sister Takmeis at Pathyris. The contract also protected Takmeis’s share by imposing a penalty if Patous failed to give her what she was owed.
