A Slave Is Contracted for Twenty Months of Weaving Training
On November 13, AD 188, Taseus entered a contract with Paouetis for her enslaved worker to receive twenty months of training in weaving. The Greek document preserves a concrete link between slavery, apprenticeship and textile work.
