Pisais Offers to Lease Farmland at Kerkesoucha
On November 10, AD 190, Pisais submitted an offer to lease several arouras of land belonging to Valerius and Heraclia with their partners. The surviving Greek papyrus specifies that rent was to be paid on the threshing floor at Kerkesoucha Orous and preserves Pisais’s autograph subscription, identifying him as thirty-two years old.
