An Eight-Year-Old Slave Dies After Falling from a Window
On November 2, AD 182, Leonides reported the accidental death of an eight-year-old enslaved boy named Epaphroditus at Senepta. The boy had leaned out from an upper room to watch castanet players performing during a festival and fell. The petition asked officials to inspect the body so that burial could proceed.
