A Farmer Takes an Advance for the Next Wheat Harvest
On February 13, AD 377, Aurelius Aunes son of Kastor acknowledged an advance payment for nine artabas of clean wheat from Aurelius Melas. The wheat was to be delivered at harvest four months later and another person wrote for Aunes because he was illiterate.
