Twenty Laborers Are Paid to Level a Vineyard
On February 1, 256 BCE, Nechthembes son of Horos acknowledged receiving 3 drachmas and 2 obols for twenty laborers who had levelled a vineyard. The duplicate receipt preserves both the labor count and the one-obol rate paid for each worker.
